Prolotherapy and Neural Therapy

Prolotherapy utilises the injection of glucose solution in order to treat the ligament degeneration and osteoarthritic changes. At the Bankstown Podiatry and Injury Clinic, prolotherapy can be used for the treatment of plantar fasciitis, ankle ligament injuries as well as other not so common injuries.
Dr Bilal has come across many studies which indicate fibroblast and vascular proliferation and collagn deposition which are all responsible for the strengthening and thickening of ligaments, increasing their shock absorption and weight bearing abilities (Sit et al, 2016)
Dr Bilal at the Podiatry and Injury Clinic also uses local anesthetic injections for the breakdown of scar dissue and disperse adhesions commonly know as Neural therapy.
